Playstation have announced that they are to replace long time standing Playstation Plus installments in the Instant Game Collection. Little Big Planet 2, Infamous 2 and Motorstorm Apocalypse will be taken down but replaced with 3 AWESOME games!

uncharted 3First up is the single player mode for Uncharted 3. Uncharted, for me, is one of the greatest games brought to the Playstation, possibly ever. The Indiana Jones type game is action packed with tons of weapons and the only 3rd person shooter that comes close to Max Payne 3. Its attention to detail and in-play cinematics make the game so much more enjoyable and with vivid colours, you will be gobsmacked at the visuals. Number 3 continues the same sort of story as the previous two, but the thing I love most about Uncharted are the characters and the way they interact with each other. Drake has a great sense of humour and isn’t afraid to use it!

Thankyou Playstation!!

lbpkThe 2nd installment is Little Big Planet Karting by Media Molecule. Little Big Planet is world famous for its enablement for players to create their own levels, and with millions to choose from, aside from its single player, the game is everlasting. Media Molecule decided to produce a game with the same aspect, but to rival Nintendo’s equally, and if not more groundbreaking, Mario Kart, which undeniably created the genre of Battle-Karting. I haven’t had a chance to play this yet, but I have to say I am eagerly awaiting this and what yet another great installment this really is!

xcomFinally, dubbed by Playstation as ‘a Surprise Update,’ is Firaxis Games’ XCOM: Enemy Unknown. I played the demo for this, so I sort of know what I’m expecting, and from what I remember, it was a pretty good strategy game. It’s highly tactical and you have to move around the map, sequentially killing enemies and securing objectives. For me, there was a slight horror element to the game, but its not as heavy as say, Dead Space. At a first glance, the game was interesting and unique all in its own ways, but upon release, I could think of a few better games I would rather spend my money on, however I am excited to finally get to play this game for free, all thanks to Playstation Plus and their amazingly unmatched Instant Game Collection.
